We welcome volunteers and WWOOFers on our farm!
Work Hours
Our volunteers/WWOOFers work fairly hard most days. However, the work is rewarding and social and a great opportunity to live and learn Permaculture, hands on. Work hours on the farm vary depending on the time of year and individual circumstance. However, generally a WWOOFer’s working hours are from 7:00am – 5:00pm, with all meal & tea breaks included, and a long lunch break in summer - Monday to Friday.
Weekends are generally the time to explore the local area or just relax. However, some of the farm work needs attention 24/7 so a rotational roster will be worked out for personnel that are on duty over weekends.
Accommodation
Currently accommodation for all Volunteers/WWOOFers and students is onsite in a tent.
Volunteers/WWOOFers might need to bring their own tent (or dome, bus, van etc) if the farm accommodation is full, but one will be advised of such in advance. Volunteers need to bring sleeping gear, torches and any other items that will make one comfortable during the stay.
Volunteers should come prepared for all weather conditions and temperature variations.
There are hot shower and composting toilet facilities on-site, which may be the first opportunity for some volunteers to experience these systems in action. All the water taps connected to the main kitchen, house and shower are safe to drink and taps in the camping area contain safe drinking water.
More info will be available when you apply - send us a mail.
